Chapter 10.74 Offenses Involving Animals
Section 10.74.050 Potentially Dangerous Dog at Large
- owner may cause or permit a potentially dangerous dog to be or run at large within the City or to roam or stray from the building or enclosure where harbored unless:

- Restrained by a sufficient collar, harness or halter, and on a leash eight (8) feet or less in length and in the control of a person physically able to restrain the dog; or,
-
- Confined safely within a vehicle.
- No person may release, or allow the escape from confinement or the control of another, any potentially dangerous dog.
- A violation of this section is a misdemeanor.
