Chapter 15.06 Preservation of Salvageable Materials
Section 15.06.070 Exemptions
- A structure may be deemed unsuitable for the deconstruction provisions of this chapter by the Historic Preservation Office in consultation with the Fire Marshal, Code Enforcement, or Building Official if the structure is an imminent threat to life, safety, or property.
- The Historic Preservation Office may exempt a structure eligible for deconstruction if it is determined that the majority of the material in the structure is not suitable for reuse.
- A property owner or applicant may make a request for exemption by submitting a written request to the Historic Preservation Office with supporting documentation when submitting a demolition permit application. The Historic Preservation Office shall make a final determination of the exemption request appealable to the Hearing Examiner.
