Section 16A.07.080 When a Vehicle May Be Impounded After Notice
A vehicle not subject to impoundment under SMC 16A.07.070 may be impounded after notice of such proposed impoundment has been securely attached to and conspicuously displayed on the vehicle for a period of twenty-four (24) hours prior to such impoundment, for the following reasons:
- When the vehicle has been parked for a continuous twenty-four (24) hour period on any one block face within any Paid Parking Zone. (SMC 16A.05.310(C))
- When the vehicle has been parked for a continuous seventy-two (72) hour period on any one block face within any area not inclusive of the Paid Parking Zone. (SMC 16A.05.310(A))
- When the non-passenger vehicle has been parked for a continuous twenty-four (24) hour period on any one block face not inclusive of the Paid Parking Zone. (SMC 16A.05.310(B))
- When the vehicle is a “junk vehicle” as defined SMC 10.66.010 and is parked on a street, alley, or way open to the public, or on City or other public property. (SMC 16A.05.220)
