Chapter 17D.080 Voluntary Impact Fees
Section 17D.080.020 Policy
The following is declared to be the policy of the City:
- The City desires to offset the direct impacts of development through the payment of impact fees or the dedication of land in lieu thereof.
- Property developments within the City should enhance the quality of life for existing and future City residents by continuing to provide high standards for public health, safety and welfare.
- Property developers should take appropriate action to ensure that their developments do not reduce the availability, productivity, or usefulness of existing public facilities and services.
- Proportional mitigation should be required from each property developer for the impacts attributable to the developer’s development on existing and planned public facilities including but not limited to public streets, parks, open space, recreational facilities and fire protection facilities.
