Chapter 17E.060 Shoreline Regulations
Article II. Administration: Part II. Administrative Authority and Legal Provisions
Section 17E.060.100 Administrative Authority
- The planning and economic development services director, referred to herein as the “director,” or his designated representative shall administer these shoreline regulations in accordance with the permit procedures specified in chapter 17G.061 SMC, RCW 90.58.140, RCW 90.58.143, RCW 90.58.210, and RCW 90.58.220, and WAC 173-27.
- The director shall have the following authority and responsibility in administering these shoreline regulations:

- Overall administrative responsibility for the shoreline regulations.

- Authority to determine submittal requirements in accordance with chapter 17G.061 SMC.

- Authority to determine if an application is complete or incomplete.

- Authority to grant or deny a letter of exemption; and

- Authority to grant or deny shoreline permits not requiring a hearing.
- Roles and responsibilities of the hearing examiner shall be in accordance with chapter 17G.050 SMC, Hearing Examiner, and chapter 17G.061 SMC, Land Use Application Procedures.
