Section 17E.060.480 Boating Facilities

  2. Boating facilities shall meet the requirement for no net loss of shoreline ecological functions.

  3. Boating facilities shall not conflict with existing or planned public access opportunities.

  4. Boating facilities shall be located only on sites with suitable environmental conditions, shoreline configuration, access, and neighboring uses.

  5. Preference shall be given to existing boat launch facilities that can be modified to accommodate multiple types of permitted non-motorized water craft uses.

  6. Location and design of boating facilities shall not obstruct use of the water.

  7. Launch ramps and accessory uses shall be located and designed with the minimum necessary shoreline stabilization to adequately protect facilities from floods and destructive storms.

  8. Launch ramps and accessory uses shall be located where water depths are adequate to avoid the need for dredging.

  9. Boating facilities shall be limited to the minimum size necessary to meet the needs of the use.

  10. Accessory parking facilities shall be located outside the shoreline jurisdiction.
