Chapter 17F.030 Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code

Section 17F.030.160 Functions of Boiler Inspector

The boiler inspector has responsibility to:

  1. review manufacturers’ data reports, plans and specifications for the installation of boilers and unfired pressure vessels;
     
  2. conduct inspections of boilers and unfired pressure vessels and premises;
     
  3. issue, suspend and revoke operating permits;
     
  4. renew engineer and fireman licenses;
     
  5. initiate proceedings, including prosecutions, to enforce the boiler and pressure vessel code;
     
  6. maintain records of all boilers and unfired pressure vessels in the city with respect to type, size, pressure, age, condition, location and inspection.
