Section 17F.060.050 Operating Permit
  1. No person may maintain or operate any elevator, dumb waiter, escalator, temporary personnel hoist, stair climber, platform lift, material lift, or moving walk in the City unless there be in effect an operating permit.
  1. The owner of the conveyance shall display the current operating permit in the cab of the elevator or the elevator machine room. Operating permits for material and stair lifts shall be posted in-sight and near the conveyance.
  1. Fees for conveyance operating permits are to be paid annually except for temporary personnel hoists. Temporary personnel hoists are addressed in 17F.060.050(D). The annual inspection may or may not occur at the time of billing for the operating permit.
  1. Operating permit fees for temporary personnel hoist are paid semiannually. Semiannual operating permits will be issued if six-month inspections are current.
