Article III. General Requirements
Section 13.03.0308 Easement – Agreement to Maintain Private Sewer
- As an additional condition of allowing connection of a private sewer, the property owner may be required to execute and record at owner’s expense an easement appurtenant to and for the benefit of premises crossed by a private sewer on a form supplied by the Development Services Center. A maintenance agreement must be filed with Spokane County.

- Said easement is to be in a form approved by the City Attorney and recorded against all properties.

- It runs with the land and allows perpetual access to said private sewer by all premises crossed, to include all maintenance responsibilities shall be by property owners.

- Grantors of property crossed mutually covenant to maintain said sewer for the use and enjoyment of all premises crossed or affected, as determined by the Director of Engineering Services.
- Said easement is not subject to revocation without the written approval of the Director of Engineering Services.

- The City has no maintenance or repair obligations for said private sewers.
