Article V. Grease Control Devices, Oil/water Separators, Sand Traps
Section 13.03.0502 Grease Control Devices.
Any commercial facility which generates grease waste including but not limited to hotels, boardinghouses, restaurants, or food processing facilities, shall install an approved type of grease control device at the owner’s expense and liability, as part of their waste disposal system. Installation may be required for other facilities by the Wastewater Director, Development Services Center, Planning Services, or the Health Officer. Design and construction of grease control devices and associated piping shall be in accordance with the more restrictive of the Side Sewer Installation Handbook and Uniform Plumbing Code and must be configured to be readily accessible for maintenance and inspection.
