Chapter 05A.03 Violations Bureau

Section 05A.03.010 Violations Bureau
  1. Creation.
    1. Pursuant to RCW 3.50.030, the City of Spokane’s violations bureau is hereby created to operate under the supervision of the municipal court to assist the court in processing of traffic and parking cases.
    1. The violations bureau created by this section shall commence operation on January 1, 2009, and shall take over processing of all matters that were being processed as of December 31, 2008 by the violations bureau that operated pursuant to former municipal court organized under RCW 3.46 and the transfer agreement regarding its termination.
  1. Processing.
    1. The violations bureau is authorized to perform all the functions that a city may authorize a violations bureau to perform under RCW 3.50 as it now exists or may hereafter be amended.
    1. The violations bureau shall operate in conformity with state statutes, including but not limited to, chapter 46.63 RCW and RCW 3.50.030 as they now exist or may hereafter be amended.
    1. All penalties and forfeitures paid to the violations bureau shall be handled in the same manner as municipal court revenue.
