Article II. Business and Occupation Licenses and Permits

Section 08.02.0204 Building Contractors and Workers
  1. Blasting.
    1. The fee for a blaster’s license is twenty-five dollars per year.
    1. The fee for a blasting permit is one hundred dollars for each job.
    1. The fee for a transportation permit required by SMC 10.29.010(D) is sixty-five dollars per year.
  1. Boilers and Pressure Vessels.
    1. The examination fee is twenty-four dollars.
    1. The annual license fees are:
      1. Fireman: Twenty-four dollars;
      1. Third class engineer: Thirty dollars;
      1. Second class engineer: Thirty-six dollars;
      1. First class engineer: Forty-eight dollars;
      1. Boiler inspector: No charge.
  1. Mechanics.
    1. The examination fee for all mechanic licenses is twenty-four dollars.
    1. The annual license fees are:
      1. Gas heating mechanic I: Thirty-six dollars;
      1. Gas heating mechanic II: Forty-eight dollars;
      1. Apprentice heating mechanic: Twenty-four dollars;
      1. Oil burner installer or servicer: Thirty-six dollars;
      1. Oil inspector, gas inspector I or gas inspector II: No charge.
  1. Expiration of Licenses and Renewal.

Any license, the license fee for which has not been paid before its expiration date, is void.

    1. A void license may be renewed at any time up to one year past the expiration date.
    1. After being void for one year, the license may not be renewed: The test for the license must be taken and passed and a new license obtained.
