Article III. Building and Construction Permits

Section 08.02.036 Plumbing Code
  1. Plumbing inspection fees are:
    1. Bar sink: Eleven dollars.
    1. Bathtub: Eleven dollars.
    1. Clothes washer: Eleven dollars.
    1. Dishwasher: Eleven dollars.
    1. Drinking fountain: Eleven dollars.
    1. Electric water heater: Eleven dollars.
    1. Floor drain: Eleven dollars.
    1. Floor sink: Eleven dollars.
    1. Garbage disposal: Eleven dollars.
    1. Kitchen sink: Eleven dollars.
    1. Lawn sprinkler (with one backflow device):Eleven dollars.
    1. Medical gas outlet, each station: Eleven dollars.
    1. Miscellaneous: Eleven dollars.
    1. Sewage ejector: Eleven dollars.
    1. Shower: Eleven dollars.
    1. Sink: Eleven dollars.
    1. Toilet: Eleven dollars.
    1. Urinal: Eleven dollars.
    1. Utility sink: Eleven dollars.
    1. Vacuum breaker/backflow device: Eleven dollars.
    1. Water softener: Eleven dollars.
  1. The processing fee is twenty-five dollars.
  1. The permit fee is the sum of the processing fee plus the inspection fees. The minimum permit fee is forty dollars.
  1. Reinspections.

The fee for reinspections for work that was not ready, or corrections previously identified but remain uncorrected, or site not accessible is seventy-five dollars per incident.

  1. Inspections Outside Normal Inspector Working Hours.

The fee for inspections outside normal inspector working hours is seventy-five dollars per hour or fraction of an hour. A minimum of two hours is payable at the time the request is made and before an inspection can be scheduled.

  1. Work Done Without Permit/Investigation Fees.

Where work has commenced without first obtaining the required permit(s), a work without permit fee equivalent to the greater of:

    1. twice the inspection fee, or
    1. the permit fee plus one hundred fifty dollars,

must be paid prior to the issuance of the permit(s).
