Section 17D.100.060 Procedure - Notification of Results

The commission shall, within five (5) days of the preliminary designation, provide notice to the owner(s), and City and County agencies, of the following:

The designation decision and the reasons therefor;

the necessity, once the designation becomes final, of applying for a certificate of appropriateness for any action which would alter the property(ies);

any responsibilities the owner(s) may have in regard to certificates of appropriateness; and
-
any incentives which may be available for the maintenance, repair, or rehabilitation of the property.

The commission is also required to review nominations to the National Register of Historic Places (“NRHP”) as part of its duties as a certified local government. Upon approval or denial of a national nomination, the HPO advises the state historic preservation officer of the action taken in accordance with the rules of the “certified local government” program.
