Chapter 07.06 Procurement of Goods, Services and Works
Article I. General Provisions
Section 07.06.040 “Contract” Defined
“Contract” means an agreement creating a legal relationship between the City and another person or entity, or any amendment or renewal thereto and includes, without limitation, agreements and instruments relating to real property interests, including, by way of example, purchase and sale agreements, leases, deeds and easements, and such incidental closing instruments and documents as are reasonably necessary to consummate real estate transactions. In the case of the sale or disposal of interests in real property, the city council shall first determine by resolution that the City’s interest in such real property is no longer needed for a public use of the City; provided, for purposes of this requirement, the city council’s approval of a street vacation ordinance shall constitute a determination that the subject property is no longer needed for a public use of the City except as otherwise provided in the street vacation ordinance.
