Man rescued from Spokane River

10 a.m. - The Spokane Fire Department responded to a report of a man in the Spokane River. The victim was successfully rescued and brought to shore.

8 a.m. - SPD celebrates their first season of the Spokane Police Youth Athletic League (S.P.Y.A.L.) with a BBQ on Aug 29th at 4pm at Liberty Park

2 p.m. - The Spokane Police Department is releasing the names of the police officers involved in a shooting on 8-22-2013.

Alert citizen helps catch burglar

1 p.m. - Help from an alert citizen who called 911 and the Spokane Police Department's Crime Analysis Unit lead to the arrest of Paul J Reinhart.

Citizen tips lead TCU to ID and arrest two for burglary
