Fire damages north Spokane garage

10:22 p.m. - Fire heavily damaged a detached garage in northwest Spokane on Friday evening, but firefighters knocked it down before it spread to the nearby home.

One pulled from roof of burning home

8:15 a.m. - Fire damaged a north Spokane home occupied by two people early today. No one was injured.

SPD Detectives ID Suspect in 1986 Homicide

10:35 a.m. - Detectives have recently developed suspect information in the homicide of 27-year-old Ruby Doss, who was found strangled in Spokane in 1986.

Fire Station 5 To Begin Serving Southwest Spokane

1 p.m. - A new fire station in southwest Spokane will soon begin serving neighborhoods in that area of the city.
