Spokane Mayor David Condon issued the following statement about the Catalyst Building project and announcement that Eastern Washington University is moving 1,000 students into the building:
“The momentum continues to build in Spokane. Eastern Washington University is doubling down on its investment in Spokane and bringing more STEM education to the heart of the city and a visionary venture by Avista Development that uses environmentally friending materials produced by Katerra. The Catalyst Project is the next anchor to a University District that is rapidly growing, and will be an important destination for the connection to the East Sprague business area being established by the new pedestrian bridge. This is an amazing time to invest in the city.”
