The Developing Lincoln Heights District Center Project

Spokane Planning and Development is beginning a planning study of the Lincoln Heights District Center. The purpose of the study is to develop a vision for this key activity area that is currently zoned for commercial and high-density residential use.

The study will:

  • Clarify the desired mix and balance of land uses
  • Assess the potential for development that supports transportation related investments
  • Identify opportunities for an improved public realm and place-making

The Lincoln Heights District Center is an established retail and neighborhood area that has been receiving interest from investors for new and re-development growth. The City of Spokane is considering ideas that will create a more desirable place to live and work. The desired outcome is a plan to create an improved sense of place while taking advantage of surrounding natural features and topography.
