Jr. Police Academy a Huge Success!

The Spokane Police Department's first-ever Jr. Police Academy, held in partnership with River Park Square and Mobius Children's Museum was a huge success. Approximately 600 kids and 1,500 total people packed the event.

Participating kids and families experienced the following:

  • They explored a real police patrol car
  • They talk with a K-9 officer and his K-9 partner
  • They dressed up in police gear and took photos
  • They colored with a cop (police badge coloring pages provided)
  • They signed up with Operation Family ID and got free identity packets for children
  • They practiced calling 911 and talked to a real 911 operator

The event was so successful, the Spokane Police Department plans to hold a Jr. Police Academy every year. Thank you to the Spokane community for participating!
