It's hard to miss all the blue and green around Spokane on ‘Super’ Blue Friday, from jerseys and hats to the 12th Man image projected onto the clock tower in Riverfront Park. Spokane is definitely ready for Super Bowl XLIX.
Flags are up around the Downtown area, including at City Hall. We couldn't hoist the 12th Man flag up at the clock tower this year due to safety concerns, but the image projected onto the tower this year looks awesome! A big thanks to All Access Production Company for making that happen! The image will remain up through the Super Bowl.
Earlier this week, Mayor Condon appeared on the MSNBC show “Sports Matters” to talk about the 12th Man spirit in Spokane and made a friendly wager with Mayor Elliott of Lowell, Mass. You can catch the segment on MSNBC's website.
Showing off your 12th Man pride has its benefits, too. Wear your Seahawk colors and enjoy $5 skating at the Ice Palace from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday.
Enjoy your weekend and, of course, go Hawks!
