Get ready for the Spokane Bike Swap!

Looking for a new set of wheels? Mark your calendar for the 4th Annual Spokane Bike Swap! The event is set for April 11-12 at the Spokane County Fair & Expo Center.

At the Spokane Bike Swap and Expo, you can buy new or used bikes and sell or donate ones you don't ride anymore. It's basically a huge garage sale for bicycles, and it offers affordable bikes for people who can't afford to buy a new one.

Proceeds from the event go to Friends of the Centennial Trail, a non-profit organization focused on maintaining and completing our Trail. Last year, more than 3,000 people packed into Bike Swap and helped raise $30,000.

Here's a look at some of what's on tap for this year's Bike Swap & Expo:

  • Ten local bike shops and over 50 exhibitors (see list below)
  • Kids helmets will be given away again this year for every kids bike sold in the bike corral (while supplies last)
  • Bike maintenance classes, Mountain bike classes, and more
  • On Sunday, Bike Swap is offering “buy 1 get 1 in free” admission
  • The first 250 people through the door on Sunday will receive a Rear Bike Light.
  • NEW! Sunday Auction – Bike Swap will auction off a 2015 Novara bicycle from REI, Custom two-hour ride from Spokane Party Trolley and more!

The Spokane Bike Swap & Expo was initiated by the Spokane County Commute Trip Reduction Office in an effort to help reduce traffic congestion, air pollution and petroleum consumption in our region. The City of Spokane participates in the Commute Trip Reduction Program.
