How walkable is Spokane? Join us to learn more about what's being done to make your city more pedestrian-friendly as the process to update Spokane's Pedestrian Master Plan continues.
There will be an Open House for the Draft Pedestrian Master Plan (PDF 4.7 MB) On Wednesday, Sept. 16, from 5-7 p.m. in the Chase Gallery at Spokane City Hall (808 W. Spokane Falls Blvd). At the Open House, staff will be available to provide information and answer any questions you may have.
The Open House is not the only opportunity to get involved. The Spokane City Plan Commission will be holding a public hearing on the proposed Comprehensive Plan Amendment to adopt a Pedestrian Master Plan on Sept. 23 at 2 p.m. in the City Council Chambers at City Hall.
You can submit written comments and appear at the public hearing to speak in person about the proposal. To submit written comments, send your feedback to Project Planner Jacqui Halvorson by mail (at the City Hall address above) or email jhalvorson@spokanecity.org. You can also leave comments in the forum below this blog. The public comment period runs until the end of the public hearing on this amendment (adjournment of the PC Hearing on Sept. 23).
City staff will also be available at the City Council Chambers on the day of the hearing between 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. to answer questions regarding the proposed Pedestrian Master Plan.
