Pig Out in the Park may be over but another huge event is coming to Riverfront Park this month! Spokane's first-ever Washington State Chinese Lantern Festival opens on Sept. 26 and runs until Nov. 15.
On Tuesday, event organizers along with City Parks and Recreation staff, Visit Spokane, the Downtown Spokane Partnership, Avista, and Mayor Condon gave members of local media outlets a sneak-peek at setup for the festival.
The event will feature stunning displays of colorful lanterns, incredible food from different regions of China, nightly cultural performances, souvenirs, and children's activities.
