Improvements are coming to Five Mile Road

Construction Season will be visiting Five Mile Road next year. Crews will improve the roadway from Lincoln Road to Strong Road in 2017.

The project features a number of improvements:

  • Full roadway replacement
  • Roadway will consist of 11-foot vehicle lanes, 6-foot bicycle lanes, and 5-foot sidewalks separated by approx. 8-foot wide stormwater swales
  • Roundabout proposed for intersection of Five Mile Rd. and Strong Rd.
  • Turn lane proposed at St. Thomas Moore Way
  • Replacement of an existing 18” water transmission line under the east half of the roadway

This $3.7 million dollar project on Five Mile Road is being paid for through street levy funding and integrated funds.
