Apply or renew your for-hire license and pay the registration fee all online. We are excited to provide this convenient and faster process for our customers!

The City of Spokane offers three for-hire licenses

“For-Hire Driver” is any driver who is affiliated with a Transportation Network Company (TNC) or taxi company. Popular examples of TNCs include Uber and Lyft.
“For-Hire Operator” is an entity or individual, such as taxi operators and transportation network companies, which affiliate with for-hire drivers to provide for-hire transportation services.
“For-Hire Vehicle” is any vehicle used for the transportation of passengers for compensation upon the streets of the City of Spokane.

Nearly 700 temporary for-hire licenses will expire on June 30, 2021. Renew your license today!
