What better way to celebrate Earth Day than by helping support a more resilient future for Spokane?
You are invited to the City of Spokane Earth Day Community Workshop to learn more about ongoing Climate Planning efforts and provide input on future actions to shape a sustainable future. The changing climate and extreme weather events affect everyone, regardless of age, background, or income. By proactively addressing climate impacts, we can protect our community, preserve our environment, and promote our collective wellbeing.
This drop-in workshop provides an in-person opportunity for community members to engage in the development of the City of Spokane’s climate and resiliency policies as part of the PlanSpokane 2046 update to the Comprehensive Plan. Participants will be able to visit various stations to share their ideas on how the City can build resilience to climate impacts and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
Not only will you have the chance to contribute to a brighter future, but attendees who visit all workshop stations will be entered into a raffle for some exciting prizes.
This family-friendly event will also feature activities for kids. Food from Feast World Kitchen will be provided.
We look forward to seeing you there and working together toward a more resilient Spokane!
