Hi neighbors! As we move into the new year, here are a few timely neighborhood reminders and opportunities to stay engaged:

Christmas Tree Pickup
Wondering what to do with your live holiday tree? Once all decorations are removed, residents may place fresh-cut trees at least three feet away from refuse and recycling carts on their regularly scheduled garbage pickup days beginning Monday, Jan. 5, through Friday, Jan. 16. Trunks must be no larger than three inches in diameter. The City will accept trees up to six feet in height; if they’re taller than that, please cut them in half. No Artificial or flocked trees are accepted.

Snow Season Reminders
Winter is here! Please remember to:

  • Park on the odd-numbered side of the street during snow events.
  • Shovel your sidewalk to keep walkways safe and accessible for everyone.

If the Street Department launches a full-city plow, remember you can monitor progress on the City Snow removal map to see when plows will be coming through your neighborhood.

Winter Activity Guide
Spokane Parks & Recreation’s Winter Activity Guide is now available at local libraries, grocery stores, City Hall, or online. This guide highlights recreational opportunities for all ages and abilities across the Spokane area.
