The City of Spokane will compete against 15 other cities in the 10th Annual Strongest Town Contest! In this bracket-style voting tournament, Spokane will compete for the “Strongest Town” title by shining a national spotlight on our work to become a stronger, more resilient city.
The City of Spokane has advanced to the Elite Eight of the Strongest Town Contest! Thanks to your votes, the City has earned the third seed and will now face West Allis, Wisconsin.
The Strongest Town Contest celebrates progress, not perfection. A “strong town” is any town, big or small, that is taking tangible steps to overcome its transportation, housing, or financial challenges. Spokane was nominated by the local transportation advocacy organization, Spokane Reimagined, highlighting the city's progress on safe streets, housing access and affordability, and smart land use.
