The Spokane Matters initiative ended in 2019. For residents still looking to get involved in solving critical community concerns, we recommend reaching out to the appropriate City Department or getting involved in your neighborhood council.
Spokane Matters was a program launched by elected officials, City staff and community stakeholders, meant to address community concerns with creative and thoughtful problem-solving. In Spokane Matters 3.0 (launched in 2019), up to three projects per district were selected as focus areas with goals for completion by the end of 2019. Project leaders and teams were formed, and project leaders and teams agreed to report out at the Mayor’s quarterly performance meetings per respective initiative of the strategic plan.
