Special Budget Ordinance C36503 - Amending Ordinance No. C36467 passed by the City Council November 27, 2023, and entitled, "An Ordinance adopting the Annual Budget of the City of Spokane for 2024, making appropriations to the various funds of the City of Spokane government for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2024, and providing it shall take effect immediately upon passage," and declaring an emergency and appropriating funds in: Urban Forestry Fund 1) Increase revenue by $2,000,000 A) Of the increased revenue, $2,000,000 is provided by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and disbursed by the United States Forest Service (USFS) as part of the United States Federal Government’s Inflation Reduction Act. 2) Increase appropriation by $2,000,000 A) Of the increased appropriation, $2,000,000 is provided solely for contractual services procured to plant and maintain trees in economically disadvantaged areas of the City of Spokane.
