Laundered towels ignite causing small fire at River Park Square Mall

6:19 p.m. - Just after 1 a.m., the Spokane Fire Department responded to the River Park Square Mall on a report of a fire on the third floor.

Mother and child suffer burn injuries from fire

5:30 p.m. - A little after 3:30 p.m., SFD responded to the 2200 block of E. Cataldo Ave. on a report of a mother and child with burn injuries.
