4:58 p.m. - The City of Spokane has terminated a fire captain for violating Civil Service rules and City policies by threatening a subordinate employee.

Spokane Police investigate fatal shooting

8 a.m. - Spokane Police Major Crimes Detectives are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred at 2400 E. Empire on October 8, just before midnight.
