Following the directive of President Obama, Spokane Mayor David Condon has directed that Washington State and United States flags at all City facilities be lowered to half-staff effective immediately through sunset on Thursday, Nov. 19 to honor the victims of Friday’s terrorist attacks in Paris, France.

“The Spokane community joins the rest of our nation in condemning these senseless and brutal terrorist attacks and standing in solidarity with the people of France,” said Mayor Condon.

Other government entities, citizens and businesses are encouraged to join this recognition.
