Spokane Mayor David Condon, following a declaration by President Donald Trump, directed that United States and Washington State flags at all City facilities to be lowered to half-staff to honor victims of the Santa Fe High School shooting.

“The Spokane community sends its deepest sympathies and condolences to all those touched by the devastating tragedy in Santa Fe, Texas,” said Condon. “We join the country in mourning the eight students and two teachers who lost their lives in this senseless attack.”

Flags will remain lowered until sundown on Tuesday, May 22. Other government entities, citizens and businesses are encouraged to join this recognition.
