Spokane Mayor David Condon and Council Member Candace Mumm, who also serves at the STA Board Chair, are sending their congratulations to the Spokane Transit Authority, STA’s Chief Executive Officer E. Susan Meyer, and the entire STA team on today’s announcement of federal funding for the Central City Line (CCL) project.

“We offer our congratulations to STA and our thanks to our federal delegation and our local and state officials who supported this project and this funding,” says Mayor Condon.

“This is tremendous news for STA, the Spokane Region, higher education, our businesses, neighborhoods, and bus riders,” says Council Member Mumm. “With more than a million annual linked trips expected, fast service every seven minutes during peak times along the corridor, and a quiet, eco-friendly electric bus, the CCL will be a game changer for transit in Eastern Washington.”
