The public is invited to learn about construction plans for a new roundabout planned at U.S. 2 and Deer Heights Road in West Spokane. The roundabout will accommodate planned and future development expected in the area and was approved last year.
The open house is set for Tuesday, April 16, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Hilton Garden Inn, 9015 W. U.S. 2.
Construction on the roundabout could begin as soon as late April or early May. The $1.5 million roundabout project is being paid for with dollars from the City of Spokane, and the developer, Deer Heights LLC, will manage the construction project. New development in the area includes a new North 40 Outfitters Center, which will begin construction later this year.
