Spokane Police are investigating a shooting which occurred in the area of N Post St. / W Chelan Ave.
August 21, just after 4:30 p.m., Spokane Police responded to the report of a person shooting a gun at a vehicle in the 800 block of W Chelan Ave. Upon the arrival of Officers, they located one male victim with an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local area hospital where they were treated for their non-life threatening injury. Spokane Police Major Crimes Unit (MCU) Detectives responded to the scene and are currently conducting the investigation, contacting witnesses, and processing the crime scene. N Post St., between W. York Ave., and W Buckeye Ave., is still closed for the investigation. The investigation is ongoing, and no suspects are in custody at this time.
