Spokane Mayor Lisa Brown has ordered flags at all City facilities be lowered to half-staff to coincide with Governor Jay Inslee’s directive that state and U.S. flags at all state agency facilities be lowered on Tuesday, March 12, in remembrance of Washington State Trooper Christopher Gadd.

“Spokane sends it deepest condolences to Trooper Gadd’s family, friends, and colleagues at the Washington State Patrol,” Brown said. “I encourage anyone with a flag outside of their home or business to join us in this recognition to honor his memory.”

Trooper Gadd died in the line of duty on Saturday, March 2. A memorial service will take place on Tuesday, March 12 at Angel of the Winds Arena in Everett.
