The City of Spokane has issued two notices of funding availability seeking applications for the Engagement Navigators grant and Youth Sports grant. Both grants are funded by the American Rescue Plan Act.
Engagement Navigators Grant
This program’s purpose is to create culturally appropriate after school services for youth in the City of Spokane who have been disproportionately impacted by COVID. This grant provides temporary funding for organizations to hire an Engagement Navigator and create or expand services for youth. Organizations should demonstrate a plan to fund these programs in the future. The maximum individual grant allowable is $200,000 per organization.
There is an optional workshop where technical assistance is available on Tuesday, Aug. 20, 1:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. It will be held virtually and in person at the Central Library, Event Room A. Email eraaga@spokanecity.org to RSVP.
Application opens Monday, Aug. 19, 8 a.m.
Applications are due by Friday, Sept. 13 at 5 p.m.
Youth Sports Grant
This program’s purpose is to fund youth sports and/or activity scholarships for low to middle income families (under 125% AMI) in the City of Spokane. This grant may also be used to purchase equipment. The maximum individual grant allowable is $50,000 per organization.
There is an optional workshop where technical assistance is available on Wednesday, Aug. 21, 1:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. It will be held virtually and in person at the Central Library, Event Room A. Email eraaga@spokanecity.org to RSVP.

Applications are due by Friday, Sept. 20 at 5 p.m.
Funding for these two programs will be awarded through a public process that requires submission, review, and evaluation of application materials for alignment to eligibility requirements and competitiveness through the City’s online portal. Information about each of the funding opportunities, including how to apply, can be found at My.SpokaneCity.org/ARPAfunding.
The portal on the City’s website walks applicants through eligibility criteria and required documentation to submit a proposal.
