Presidents' Day Is a Parking Meter Holiday

On-street parking meters and kiosks will not require payment on Monday, Feb. 17, because of the Presidents’ Day holiday. However, please remember even when parking is free on holidays, all parking rules, including time limits, still apply.

Garbage and recycling pickup will be on its normal schedule. The Waste to Energy Facility is open from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. to bring your trash, recycling, yard waste, and hazardous household chemicals. The public is also welcome to see where your trash goes! Tour registration is required in advance.

Spokane City Hall will be open including Spokane 311 and the Development Services Center.

The Spokane City Council agenda review and legislative meetings have been canceled for Monday, Feb. 17. Council meetings will resume on Monday, Feb. 24, with a 3:30 p.m. agenda review meeting and 6 p.m. legislative meeting. Meetings are shown live on CityCable 5, the City’s government-access cable station, and are streamed on Facebook and the City’s website. Community members who want to provide testimony on an item on the Council’s agenda can sign up online.

The Numerica Skate Ribbon and Looff Carrousel in Riverfront Park are open on Monday, Feb. 17. Check the City’s website for additional information.

Spokane Public Library branches will be closed on Presidents’ Day. Spokane Municipal Court and Community Justice Services will be available by phone only on Monday, Feb. 17.
