Spokane Mayor Lisa Brown has directed that all flags at City facilities be lowered to half-staff to coincide with Governor Bob Ferguson’s directive that state and U.S. flags at all state agency facilities be lowered in remembrance of former Secretary of State Ralph Davies Munro.
“Ralph was a statesman and an exemplary public servant. I enjoyed serving with him when I was in the legislature and will remember him fondly whenever bagpipes are played at official events,” Mayor Lisa Brown said.
Secretary Munro passed away on March 20, 2025. A memorial service will take place on Saturday, June 28, at 2 p.m. at the Washington State Capitol Legislative Building Rotunda.
