Flags will remain at half-staff until close of business on Tuesday, May 30. Lowry served as governor from 1993 to 1997. Prior to serving as governor he was also a member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Washington’s 7th district from 1979 to 1989.

Condon issued the following statement about the late governor:

“Gov. Lowry served our state with great passion and compassion. Spokane joins the rest of the state in honoring and remembering the late governor.”
