Spokane Tourism Week gives us an opportunity to celebrate what makes this area amazing.

For those of us who live here, it may seem like a no-brainer why people would want to visit Spokane and – indeed – relocate here. But more and more these days, it has been awesome to see the kind of national attention Spokane is getting.

In the past months alone, different publications have named Spokane one of the happiest 25 cities in the nation and, get this – one of America's 15 best cities for newlyweds. Just last year, people voted for Spokane as the second Best American Waterfront in the whole of the United States.

Tourism has a big impact on our region. Travel and tourism brought $893 million to the Spokane area in 2014. People love coming to Spokane, whether it's for events like Bloomsday and Hoopfest or to enjoy some of the incredible scenery, outdoor activities, and vibrant life our region has to offer.

So enjoy Spokane Tourism Week and be proud of the City of Choice. You can even "Show Your Love for Spokane" and win prizes, thanks to our friends at Visit Spokane.
