The Spokane Police Division today released footage of the first critical incident that was captured by an officer-worn body camera. The incident, an officer-involved shooting, took place on Oct. 12, 2015 and was investigated by the Spokane Investigative Regional Response (SIRR) Team.
The process followed today establishes a new protocol for releasing future video of critical incidents captured by body cameras. Video of the entire press conference is available above. It includes video from officer body cameras, which is graphic. Viewer discretion is advised.
