Construction on 37th Avenue Continues

Work on the 37th Avenue project from Custer Street to Freya Street continues. This project will improve safety around three schools; Chase Middle School, Adams Elementary, and Ferris High School. Upgrades will also be made to utilities in the area.

Key improvements include;

  • Installing key water main
  • Replacing old water main
  • Replacing failing stormwater system
  • Full removal and replacement of street pavement
  • Complete sidewalk network
  • New curbs and gutters from Ray to Custer
  • Fill in bike lanes
  • Pocket parking
  • Paving of Cuba Street between 36th and 37th Avenues
    • New curbs
    • Swales
    • Sidewalks

Citizens are encouraged to attend our weekly construction meetings. The meetings are held every Thursday at 8 a.m. at ESD 101, 4202 S Regal Street.

Next summer construction is scheduled for 37th Avenue from Freya to Regal Street.
