Family Nights aren’t a new event at City of Spokane Aquatic Centers, but thanks to Spokane Parks Foundation and Huppin’s, this pool party for families just got a huge upgrade.
“We wanted to up our game and really make this a big community event,” said Aquatics Supervisor Josh Oakes. “So we partnered with our Mobile Rec staff to provide poolside games, were given these amazing boom boxes from Huppin’s for music, and the Spokane Parks Foundation stepped in to sponsor free movies on a huge outdoor movie screen. It’s a big game changer.”
Terri Fortner, Executive Director for the Spokane Parks Foundation says she’s excited to get involved with Family Nights and sees them as a valuable community service. “We’re thrilled to partner with City of Spokane Parks & Recreation on this great program for families,” said Fortner. “We are grateful to our generous donors for supporting our mission and helping plant roots and grow community,”
So, bring the whole family down on select Friday nights for our new and improved Family Nights at The Pool, featuring poolside games with Mobile Rec, music provided by Huppin’s, and an outdoor movie on a giant screen in the adjacent park! This free event is sponsored by the Spokane Parks Foundation.
