Happy National Cyber Security Awareness Month! The City is thrilled to once again be participating in this national campaign. This year’s theme is “Own It. Secure It. Protect It.” and will emphasize the role everyone plays in online safety.
Own It.
In this category, we’ll examine social media best practices, how to effectively update privacy settings (and why), and mobile device safety.
Secure It.
Take a deep dive into proven ways to keep your identity and sensitive information secure online. Learn how to create strong, unique passphrases, discuss the value of multi-factor authentication, provide tips for safe online shopping, and address phishing.
Protect It.
Protecting your personal data security is vital. Learn about the latest security software, web browser and operating systems and details on how to exercise appropriate Wi-Fi safety.
