This April marks the ninth annual Spokane Gives month!
Spokane Gives is a city-wide campaign spanning the month of April in partnership with Spokane County United Way. It is dedicated to promoting giving by expanding on the philanthropic efforts already in our region and connecting volunteers to non-profit organizations with service projects. Since 2016, Spokane Gives has provided opportunities for nearly 100,000 volunteers to give over 440,000 hours of their time, making an over $10 million community impact!
Spokane Gives offers a wide variety of projects and giving opportunities so that everyone can find ways to contribute tailored to their schedules, abilities, and interests. Past events have included volunteers spending a day painting and cleaning at local non-profits, providing “Thank You” baskets to teachers and staff in local schools, and organizing supply drives to collect items for shelters.
This year, Premera and STCU have generously donated $5,000 each towards the Mini-Grant Program, which provides up to $500 grants to non-profits in our community to complete service projects! Applications are open.
We invite the Spokane community to Give Your Way, whether it is volunteering your time, your talents, or financial support of an organization in need. It all starts by visiting VolunteerSpokane.org, where you can browse volunteer opportunities or register a project for your organization. Additional volunteer opportunities can be found on our website!
