The City of Spokane is hosting a job fair to connect job seekers with intellectual and developmental disabilities to employers. The Supported Employment Job Fair is Tuesday, Sept. 26, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. at The Hive, 2904 E Sprague Ave. If you are a job seeker with a disability and would like to participate, you can register now through our Job Seeker Registration form.
Job seekers will get a chance to meet representatives from various local businesses including departments within the City to learn more about their employment opportunities. If you are interested in a City position, we will have application stations onsite for you to begin the application process. You can also bring hard copies of your Proof of Eligibility Letter and Certification of Job Readiness form.
If your business is interested in participating, you can fill out the Employer Registration form or email Charly Walters with any questions you may have.
We have planned a great event with gift card giveaways to local businesses and a donut bar with coffee. Job seekers are encouraged to stay as long as they like, enjoy the refreshments, and take the opportunity to network.
The City of Spokane launched a Supported Employment Program in 2019. The program is designed to create job opportunities for eligible individuals with disabilities. If you would like to learn more, visit the Supported Employment website.
